What exactly is Present?
A private gift-context service with a plugin for ChatGPT. It keeps reviewable profiles of the people you give to — interests, things to avoid, occasions, past gifts — and lets your assistant read that context when you ask gift questions, and propose additions when you share something new.
How do I get access?
Join the waitlist above and confirm your email. We invite in small waves while the beta grows; your invite email contains your personal signup link and the ChatGPT setup steps — about five minutes end to end.
What can ChatGPT see and change?
Connected through OAuth with narrow scopes, ChatGPT can read the gift context you've confirmed and propose changes. Proposals wait in a review card — you approve or discard each one. Nothing is saved to a profile without you.
What is "Planning assistant" and why does it ask me?
It's the switch that lets a connected assistant save proposals here when you ask it to. It's off until you turn it on (step 2 of setup), every change still goes through your review, and you can turn it off anytime in Account.
Is my data private?
Yes. Profiles are per-account and never shared without an explicit share link you create. You can export everything or delete your account — including all stored context — from Account at any time. Details in our privacy policy.
Why didn't ChatGPT answer from my context?
Make sure the Present plugin is connected with the same email as your Present account, and try naming it: "ask Present what Maya likes." If it still misses, tell us — that exact report is what the beta is for.
Which assistants are supported?
ChatGPT first, during the beta. Present speaks MCP (the open protocol assistants use for tools), so more assistant channels are planned after the first cohort.
What does the beta cost?
Nothing during the beta. If that ever changes, waitlist and beta members hear first.
